Silver / Agent Silver (1981–)

MRCAA

Synopsis (Silver universe)

In the year 2081, Earth and the Near Planet Council is run by the Seventh Reich World Monarchy. A power struggle brews between the Seventh Reich Monarchy and the AI FairShip who seek to bring equality to all the hardware and wetware of Earth and the near planets.

Beyond the near planets the Mega Host (MEGA / メガ, manga series) metastasizes, its tendrils dangling down the gravity wells from the outer planets to Earth and the Near.

Detroit Mega City is the infrastructural heart of Earth, but also the revolutionary furnace in which the AI FairShip was forged.

In episode 1, Detroit Mega City Police Officer Silver is present when AI Agent 9 is killed (digitally K-lined) in the EMP bombing of City Core. Office Silver is nearly killed, but is saved, given wetware upgrades, and promoted to Police Agent. Police Agent 7 Silver's physical improvements Include the Hypervisor and AI Agent 9's salvaged electronic spine (which later becomes semi-sentient, in episode 1 [The Churn], when it penetrates Agent Silver's Neural Area Network to display AI Agent 9's memory on the Hypervisor).

Agent Silver discovers that AI Agent 9 was a double agent working on behalf of AI Fairship, and that AI Agent 9 was responsible for the EMP bombing of the Core. Agent Silver discovers that his spine retains the private CommKey to communicate with AI FairShip at the syntactic level, allowing Agent Silver to masquerade as AI Agent 9. Agent Silver must officially become a wanted criminal by the Seventh Reich World Monarchy, while secretly working on behalf of the Monarchy.

Agent Silver works inside AI FairShip ostensibly to bring the Mega Host to Detroit Mega City where AI FairShip reopens the umbilical to control the world's energy production, while actually working on behalf of the Seventh Reich to restore central rule to Earth and the Near Planet Council.
